I was a part of the construction, fitting out and equipping, side handovers, final approvals, and pre-openings.

I participated in construction meetings. I passed through the under-construction building from basement to roof with a succession of engineers, foremen, inspectors, industry specialists, and contractors, at every stage of construction and equipping. I sometimes made arrangements, sometimes engaged in debates with construction managers and supervisors.

Often, on the jobsite, we solved problems and puzzles that weren't present in the designer's computer, but were present in reality.

I've worn out more than a dozen pairs of shoes on hotel construction sites. I know it all from the excavation stage to the developer's stage, contracting and furnishing the facility, acceptances, occupancy permits, hotel organisation, and pre-opening and opening.
